Worship Retreat

Worship…it's what we sing on Sunday morning, right? Only 29% of people who regularly attend church view worship as something that is primarily focused upon God…47% think worship is for their own personal benefit! Less than 25% of churches placed worship as one of their top priorities! (Side note: Ministering to children, ministering to families, worship and prayer were not listed as top priorities in the majority of churches surveyed…I'm not sure what that leaves!)

What is worship and how do we make it a real part of our daily life? Worship isn't just for Sundays! We all worship something…it is part of who we are…what do you really worship? If we were to inspect your checkbook, your timecard or your house…what would we find you worship…is it God or is it really something else?

In this retreat we study what worship really is. We also explore the many varied ways Christians experience the presence of God. We try to get people to see we all experience the presence of God in many varied ways and thus we also worship Him in many varied ways. This retreat is focused on experiencing God in new ways…through nature, through your senses, through traditions, through adoration, solitude; loving and serving others…there are many “foreign” ways to experience and worship God.

We want to make worship of God a lifestyle of all believers, not just a twenty minute part of the Sunday morning service. We explore the root of the word worship and try to cultivate that into who and what we truly are.

True worship of God is something that can't be quenched…it is deep within our beings, we must worship something…why not make worship of God all it can be…break out of the restrictive box and experience true worship. This retreat allows plenty of “Holy Spirit” time with Him as the teacher!
